Becky McClaney is coming to NewHope from Niles Township District for Special Education (NTDSE), where she served as the Coordinator for Special Education for two years. In this role she had the unique opportunity to oversee satellite classrooms, students outplaced in Therapeutic Day Schools, as well as State testing. Prior to her role with NTDSE she spent ten years as a Special Education Teacher in Maine Township High School District 207. In her time there she taught a variety of classes including English, Math, and Science.
Becky received her undergraduate degree from Benedictine University in Special Education. She then continued her education at National Louis University and received her Masters in Curriculum and Instruction. She later pursued an advanced certificate in English Language Learners. In 2016, she earned her Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership with a Principal Endorsement (75).
During her free time, Becky enjoys time spent with her husband and three kids. Becky is excited to join the NewHope family. We are happy to have her as part of our team.
